Special pooja in Pondy CM's chamber

Puducherry, Jul 18 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who is facing the threat of ouster in the wake of a banner of revolt raised by all his Cabinet colleagues, seems to have decided to seek the blessings of God to tide over the situation.

A special pooja was performed today after decorating the portraits of Gods and Godesses in his chamber and the Cabinet rooms. The chairs in his chamber and the cabinet rooms were also changed.

The Chief Minister himself and the staff of his office participated in the pooja and were served with 'prasadam' by the priest at the end of the pooja.

The Chief Minister's office sources claimed that the pooja was performed on the occasion of ''Aadi Velli''(Friday in the Tamil month of Aadi).
