SC, ST employees lay siege to TTD EO chamber
Tirupati, July 18 (UNI) Protesting against not conforming to the rule of reservation in conversions from Mazdoor to Attenders by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), a large number of SC and ST TTD employees laid siege to the TTD Executive Officer's Chamber here today.
As many as 60 SC and ST employees, led by union leaders Mr Dass and Republican Party(RP) leader Mr Anjaiah, took out a procession to the TTD EO's chamber, where they staged a dharna.
They raised slogans against releasing conversion orders last night for 200 employees by Deputy EO(Services) T N Narayana against the rules and demanded to cancel the Order.
They also demanded 50 per cent reservation in the conversions.
Following heated arguments between the union leaders and the EO K V Ramanachary, the latter cancelled the order and assured to examine it in one or two days.
Later, the SC and ST employees left the scene.
