One killed in Sikh-Dera clash
Dabwali (Sirsa), July 18 (UNI) One person was killed following a clash between Dera Sacha Sauda supporters and members of a Sikh religious group here this morning.
Police sources identified the victim as Sukhminder Singh, a member of the local Satkar Sabha, a Sikh religious group. The killing led to tension in this town, bordering Punjab.
Members of the Satkar Sabha attacked and burnt a few shops and the house of a Dera Sacha Sauda supporter. Police had to use teargas shells and even lathicharged the Satkar Sabha supporters.
The situation in the town was described as tense but under control.
