Nuclear deal will "benefit" India : Prof Soz
Jammu, Jul 18 (UNI) Strongly supporting the Indo-US Nuclear Deal, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Professor Saiffudin Soz today held the deal ''beneficial'' for the country.
''Once the nuclear deal gets finalised between both the countries, there will be no shortage of electricity in India,'' Prof Soz said, while addressing gathering at one-day convention of Indian National Congress organised here by the JKPCC.
Prof Soz said India is a nuclear nation and no country except India got this deal. ''This is an opportunity and we should avail it. The dialogue process is also in progress with Russia and France,'' the JKPCC chief said.
He however, appealed to the party workers and Congress leaders to pray for the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in proving his vote of confidence at Parliament's special session on July 22.
Meanwhile, Prof Soz said the coming elections will decide Congress's fate and he is sure that the former will form majority government in Jammu and Kashmir.
