Nanaji discharged from hospital

New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) Nonagenarian former MP Nanaji Deshmukh, who was suffering from chest congestion since July 9, was today discharged from hospital.

Mr Deshmukh was admitted to a private nursing home here due to complaints of breathlessness.

The 93-year-old social worker was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, sources from the Deendayal Research Foundation, of which he is founder and Chairman, said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on learning about his critical condition had arranged for an air ambulance to take him to Delhi from Satna, a hospital official said.

Earlier, he was taken from Chitrakoot to Satna, where doctors advised treatment in New Delhi.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani, former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, BJP president Rajnath Singh, RSS general secretary Mohan Rao Bhagwat, its joint general secretary Madandas Devi and former Bihar Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, along with other leaders, went to the hospital and enquired about his well-being.
