Improve intelligence network to fight Naxalism: Jaiswal
Kanpur, July 18 (UNI) The state governments needs to strengthen their intelligence network to crush the Naxalite agitation, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said today.
Talking to UNI here, Mr Jaiswal said, ''strengthening of forces would not be enough...in fact, all the states should improve their intelligence network to tackle Naxalism.'' The minister further condemned the recent incident in Orissa that claimed the lives of about two dozen jawans.
However, when asked about the vote of confidence in Parliament on July 22, he said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre would not only win the trust vote, but would also move ahead with the Nuclear deal.
Mr Jaiswal also visited hospital and enquired about the health of Irfan Solanki, the Samajwadi Party MLA, who was wounded in an attack in Unnao on Monday.
