Impressive parade at Naval base in Kerala
Kochi, Jul 18: In an impressive parade at the Naval Base here today, 14 officers of the 37th Air Engineering Officers and Air Electrical Officers Courses passed from the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology (NIAT).
Rear Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command, reviewed the parade.
Lieutenant Navin Jacob and Assistant Commandant Promod won awards for overall academic performance during the one-year course.
Addressing the officers, Admiral Lanba reminded them of the onerous responsibilities and the great opportunities that await them.
The Trainee Officers will now join frontline Air squadrons of the Navy. The NIAT, headed by Capt Srinivas Kanugo, is recognized as the 'Centre for Aeronautical Science and Technology' by CUSAT, an official release said.
