Gold October 08 contract declines

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Gold October 08 contract declined by 0.68 per cent to Rs 13,327 per 10 gm at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today.

Silver May 09 contract rose by 3.45 per cent to Rs 26,381 per kg.

Platinum September 08 contract fell by 1.32 per cent to Rs 26,079 per 10 grams, a MCX release stated here.

All metal contracts showed a downward trend. Aluminium September 08 contract fell by 2.10 per cent to Rs 133 per kg, copper August 08 contract by 0.47 per cent to Rs 347.15 per kg, lead July 08 contract by 0.30 per cent to Rs 84.10 per kg, nickel September 08 contract by 0.14 per cent to Rs 920 per kg and zinc July 08 contract was down 0.83 per cent at Rs 78.05 per kg.

Crude oil August 08 contract was up by 0.41 per cent to Rs 5,634 per barrel.

Cardamom September 08 contract gained by 2.42 per cent to Rs 656.50 per kg, turmeric August 08 contract by 1.91 per cent to Rs 5056 per quintal.

Jute August 08 contract was up by 1.02 pc to Rs 1,584 per quintal, the release added.
