GE Shipping Q1 net dips 7.94% at Rs 387.59 cr

New Delhi, Jul 18: Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd on Friday, July 18, said its net profit has decreased 7.94 per cent to Rs 387.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 from Rs 421.04 crore for the same period a year ago.

However, the total income increased 31.57 per cent to Rs 992.49 crore in Q1 FY09 from Rs 754.32 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal.
