Final decision after meeting PM tomorrow: Deve Gowda

Bangalore, July 18 (UNI) The suspense over Janata Dal (Secular) voting in favour of the UPA government in the trust vote on July 22 continued with Party President H D Deve Gowda today saying he would take a final decision after meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi tomorrow.

The party has three members, including Mr Gowda, in the Lok Sabha.

''The Party's interest will be foremost for me and our decision will be based on this. A final decision will be taken after meeting the Prime Minister,'' Mr Gowda told newspersons here after a meeting with party leaders in the city.

Mr Gowda, who spoke to Dr Singh over telephone this morning, said Mr Veerendra Kumar MP from Kerala, who had left the party after the JD(S) formed a coalition government with the BJP in the state in 2006, had decided to return and would support him.

''This is a happy development,'' he added.
