CSMC sanctions more funds under JNNURM
Shillong, Jul 18 (UNI) The Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) has sanctioned more funds to Meghalaya under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
Official sources said here today that the Union Ministry of Urban Development had allocated funds under JNNURM for projects on urban infrastructure and governance.
''For Shillong, Drainage Master Plan (Phase-I) has been approved having total project cost of Rs 2,446 lakh,'' the sources added.
''The Centre is contributing Rs 2,201.40 lakh, 90 per cent of the total project cost. The first installment of Rs 550.35 lakh, 25 per cent of the central share, will be released soon to the state government for the project,'' the sources said.
