Astral Polytechnik posts 81 percent jump in topline for Q-1

Ahmedabad, July 18 (ANI/Business Wire India): Astral Polytechnik Limited manufacturer of CPVC pipes and fitting today announced their impressive financial results for the quarter ended June 2008.

Overview of Q-1 FY2008 v/s Q-1 FY2007

-- Company's sales from operations has increased by 81 per cent, to Rs.4203 lakh for the Q-1 Financial Year 2008 as against Rs.2320 lakh in Q-1 FY 2007.

-- Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased to Rs. 534 lakh in the current quarter as against Rs. 349 lakh last year in same quarter.

-- Profit After Tax (PAT) increased to Rs. 470 lakh as against Rs. 300 lakh last year in same quarter.

-- The Company has delivered an Earning Per Share (EPS) with expanded equity to Rs. 4.18 per share in Q-1.

Promoters of the company hold 63.82 per cent of the equity shares and company is planning to complete its expansion capacity by September-08, which will increase its capacity from 11800 MT to 25968 MT.

Astral is a pioneer in manufacturing CPVC pipes and fitting since 1999 in Indian plumbing market and is the first company to introduce CPVC pipes in India.

In the year 2004 company introduced first Lead free PVC piping system and now company is coming with full range of product such as Under Ground Piping System, SWR Piping System, ABS Piping System, Blaze Master (Fire Sprinkler) Piping System and CPVC Aluminum CPVC pipes.

Astral has its production facilities at Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh to manufacture plumbing systems from half inch to eight inch.

The company has now come with its new manufacturing plant and that will be operational from the end of second quarter of current year.

Company is licensee of LUBRIZOL-USA and forged associations with global players such as Tyco-Singapore; IPS-USA; Spears Manufacturing Company-USA; Harvel-USA; Hunter Plastics-UK.
