ADG suspended for criticising UP government
Lucknow, Jul 18 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today suspended an Additional Director General of Police for criticising the policies of the state government and functioning of the state police.
ADG (Rules and Manual) Ajay Singh was suspended on charges of speaking to media without permission, in violation of All India Civil Services Rules, an official spokesperson said here.
He said Mr Singh, in a press conference on July 16, had flayed the state government and had made unsubstantiated charges against senior officers of the state police.
He has been attached to the DG Headquaters and asked not to leave the headquaters without prior permission.
