Woman booked for half-naked walk

Rajkot, Jul 17 (UNI) After Puja Chauhan, who shot into limelight with her semi-nude act to protest against her in-laws last year, another woman in Gujarat walked half-naked in Sahakarnagar area here.

A case has been registered against Gita Salat (22), who removed her shirt last night and took a walk through the streets in the area.

The police today interrogated Gita, who informed them that she was molested by an Auto-rickshaw driver Marutia who threatened to remove her shirt. Hence, she resorted to the act under threat.

Later, she recovered the shirt from him and left the place immediately.

A case has also been registered against Marutia as per Gita's complaint.

Gita is married to Manilal Salat in Junagadh. As Manilal did not have good relations with Gita, he drove her away from his house.

Estranged from her husband, Gita settled in Rajkot, about a month ago, police said.

Puja Chauhan (22) had also hit the headlines in July last year by walking through the streets of Rajkot in undergarments to protest the alleged torture by her husband and in-laws.
