Nagaland: 2 held, explosives, ammunition seized

Kohima, Jul 17: The Kohima police arrested two miscreants and seized huge quantity of ammunition and explosives from their possession at the Khuzama check gate near the inter-state border of Nagaland and Manipur.

Official sources said here today that the miscreants, both from Manipur's Churachandpur and Ukhrul districts, were travelling in a jeep from the Manipur side.

When they stopped at the Khuzama check gate, police seized one thousand rounds of M16 rifle, twenty rounds of AK47 rifle, five Chinese made hand grenades, eleven NIT explosives and three detonators from their possession.

Police arrested both the people and the vehicle was seized and further investigations were on to apprehend the other members of the gang.
