Three minors raped in Ashok Vihar school in Ashok Vihar

New Delhi, Jul 17 (UNI) Three minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted in a government primary school in Ashok Vihar, north-west Delhi, this morning.

Two boys, reportedly from nearby areas, were involved in the crime, according to official sources.

''Eyewitnesses said they saw two boys running from the school premises,'' the sources said.

The incident, which took place around 1100 hrs at the MCD primary school in Ashok Vihar Phase III, came to light after one of the three girls escaped from the spot and reported the matter to her parents.

The girls, from Class II and IV, were allegedly assaulted in the school toilet situated at the back of the two storey building.

The hands and mouth of the other two girls were found tied.

Soon after the incident, some parents gathered near the school and protested at the callous attitude of the school administration, as this was not the first time that students of the school had been assaulted.

A senior police official while confirming the incident said the matter had been reported and investigations were being done.

''A police team has reached the spot and the girls sent for medical examination,'' the official said.

Several other policemen have also been sent to maintain law and order, he added.
