Relief for retired employee of HP govt
Shimla, July 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said the state government has decided to provide interim relief (IR) to the employees who retired from active service on or after October 31, 2006.
He said this would fulfil the commitment he made in the Himachal Pradesh state pensioners Welfare Association Meeting at Hamirpur recently.
The Chief Minister said state government has released five per cent IR to employees and pensioners and provided financial benefits worth Rs 300 crore. He said this decision of the state government had benefitted over two lakh employees besides one lakh pensioners of the state.
Mr Dhumal said the arrears of the interim relief to the employees had already been released.
The Chief Minister said the state government had made a provision of Rs 16 crore for reimbursement of medical bills of retired employees and added that all the departments have been directed to clear the medical bills of the pensioners. He said efforts would be made to deliver relief to the pensioners by considering all their pending demands on priority.
