RCom gets another legal salvo from RIL on MTN issue
Mumai, July 17 (UNI) Even as Reliance Communications was in the last lap of its discussions on its deal with South African Telecom major MTN, the Company said today that it has received another letter from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) threatening legal action.
A spokesman for RCom said that the letter, fourth from RIL on the issue, received today had clearly exposed the malafide design of RIL to derail MTN discussions.

arbitration
proceedings
legally
and
factually
unwarranted,
RCom
said,
''RIL
has
successfully
destroyed
India's
image
in
foreign
eyes.'' In
a
related
development,
an
RIL
Spokesman
said
that
RCom
had
refused
to
participate
in
the
conciliation
meetings
under
the
alternate
dispute
resolutions
provisions
contained
in
the
Non
Competition
Agreement.
The
spokesman
said,
''RIL
has
commenced
arbitration
proceedings
by
nominating
Hon'ble
Justice
B
P
Jeevan
Reddy,
a
former
Judge
of
the
Supreme
Court
of
India,
as
an
arbitrator
for
resolution
of
the
disputes.''
