Rahul Gandhi in Vidarbha from tomorrow

Nagpur, Jul 17 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will be on a brief visit to the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra from tomorrow.

During his visit, Mr Gandhi is expected to visit Mahatma Gandhi's Sewagram Ashram in Wardha district and noted social worker Baba Amte's 'Anandwan' in Chandrapur district, party sources said. He is also likely to meet the widows of farmers, who have committed suicide, in Yavatmal, the sources said.

According to the tentative schedule, the AICC office-bearer who would arrive here tomorrow, would also hold discussions with the state unit office bearers of the Youth Congress and the National Students Union of India (NSUI), they said.

However, the exact schedule of Mr Gandhi's visit had not been released yet. Mr Gandhi did not want much hype about the visit and, therefore, wanted to keep it under the wraps as much as possible, sources added.
