Qureshi supports nuclear deal
Raipur, July 17 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President and former state minister Badruddin Qureshi today said that Indo-US nuclear agreement should not linked with a religious angle.
In a statement here today, he said that country's interest paramount in such sensitive cases.
''We will not only get energy but will also benefit from the cooperation from developed countries in medicine, environment and technical sectors,'' he said.
Mr Qureshi said that there would be a huge gap in the demand and generation and in the next five years the gap would take a gigantic proportion.
''Nuclear deal will be in the country's interest keeping in view the emerging power scenario,'' he added in the release.
