Manipur: One shot dead, five militants nabbed
Imphal, Jul 17: A combined force of Imphal West Police Commandos and personnel of 12 Maratha Light Infantry shot dead a suspected underground cadre at Hiyang-thang Tarahei Khul, Imphal West.
Police said here today that the suspected militant was killed in an encounter last night.
In a separate incident, police commandos and Assam Rifles troops apprehended four ultras of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) and a Kanglei Yawol Kanglei Lup (KYKL) cadre from different locations of Thoubal and Imphal East districts yesterday.
