Jeweller shot dead in Bihar

Muzaffarpur, Jul 17 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen shot dead a jeweller near Karwachack village under Manihari police station of the district today.

Official sources said the jeweller was gunned down when he was returning home from his shop.

An irate mob protesting the murder attacked the police party and injured Deputy Superintendent of Police Shankar Jha.

The agitated mob also damaged the police vehicle.

Later, the deceased's body was sent to Srikrishna Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

An FIR was lodged with the local police station.

Raids were on to nab the criminals.
