Inflation rises from 11.89 pc to 11.91 pc

New Dellhi, Jul 17: Inflation has risen up moderately from last week's 11.89 pc to 11.91 pc. This is the first time inflation is coming on a Thursday evening instead of a Friday, after the norm passed by the Govt.

Though not as high as expected 12 pc, still Inflation is on a rising note. Inflation will moderate in a period of six months, Chidambaram had predicted. Painting a grim picture of the evolving situation on the price front, Reserve Bank of India Governor Y V Reddy had told parliamentarians that the inflationary situation is unlikely to improve dramatically any time soon.
