IAS officer gets addl charge in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, July 17 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh government today bestowed additional charge of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection on Principal Secretary (Water Resources and Energy) Vivek Dhand.
Chief Electoral Officer Alok Shukla was doubling up as Secretary (Food) but was divested of the charge on the State Election Commission's urging in view of assembly polls scheduled this year.
The main challenge before Mr Dhand, who is also PS to the Chief Minister, would be smooth management of the Raman Singh regime's ambitious Rs 3 per kg rice distribution scheme.
