Half-day market closed in capital on Aug 9
New Delhi, Jul 17 (UNI) All markets in Delhi will remain closed half day on August 9, being observed as National Traders Day across the country by the Trading Community.
This was decided by the trade leaders of Delhi belonging to more than 400 trade bodies of different parts of the capital gathered at a Vyapari Sammelan organised by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), presided by CAIT Delhi State Chairman Murli Mani.
The Vyapari Sammelan, in a unanimous voice, adopted a Traders Charter which shall be presented to all political parties demanding them to accept traders demand, which include several important regularisation of all business establishment that exist as on December 31, and immediate regularisation of unauthorised colony in which more than 2 lakh small traders are carrying their business activities.
The charter further demands a compressive policy ensuring full-proof security for traders and commercial markets in Delhi, that big corporate house should not be allowed to operate in retail trade, review of tax and other laws, and rules governing trade.
