60-year-old man succumbs to rain related disease
Mumbai, Jul 17 (UNI) A 60-year-old man today died of malaria, taking the death toll due to rain-related diseases in the metropolis to 46, since the onset of monsoon this year.
According to civic officials, the man, who was admitted to Sion hospital on July 16, succumbed to the disease this morning.
Of the 308 patients, who were admitted in the last 24 hours, 171 were admitted with fever, 69 with gastroenteritis, ten with leptospirosis, three with dengue and 55 with malaria, the officials said.
