2 SPOs injured in Doda grenade blast

Jammu, Jul 17 (UNI) Two Special Police Officers (SPOs)were critically injured when unidentified militants lobbed grenade near District Police Line (DPL) in doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said today.

''Two SPOs were injured when ultras lobbed grenade at around 2300 hrs last night near DPL,'' sources told UNI.

The injured police personnel were immediately shifted to the district hospital, they said.

The grenade attack was followed by firing but there were no reports of any militant's arrest in the area, sources informed.

Meanwhile police have cordoned the area and intensified the search operation.

This is reportedly the second incident of grenade attack in Doda district outside DPL within one week. One SPO was killed and two others were injured on July 14.
