2 cops held for drinking alcohol on duty

Rajkot, Jul 17 (UNI) Two police head constables have been arrested as they were 'caught' drinking alcohol at Sadar Police Chowki (police station) here.

On the directive of City Police Commissioner Sudhir Sinha, Police Sub-inspector B P Parmar and his crew conducted a raid at the police station and caught two head constables -- Haresh Ratnotar and Pradyuman Laxmanbhai -- red-handed while taking alcohol on duty yesterday. Police also recovered a bottle of country-made foreign liquor from the place.

Police have registered the offence under the Prohibition Act and sent them for medical test.
