13 children reported missing in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 17: With 19 cases of disappearance of children being reported during the past one week from different parts of Manipur, the number of such incidents has been increasing.

Police said here today that 19 missing cases, including two of girls, had been reported so far. All the children were between the age group of 11 to 16 years.

Police suspected that most of the children were lured or abducted by militants to join their outfits.

Meanwhile, sit-in protests were organised in various parts of the state, demanding early release or rescue of the children.
