Two DMK men attacked
Perambalur, July 16 (UNI) Two ruling DMK functionaries were injured when an unidentified gang attacked them at Palayur village on the Veppanthattai-Perambalur highway, near here, today.
Police said Veppanthattai Union DMK Secretary Thangaraj and his driver Poomalai, also a DMK man, were on their way to Perambalur in a car when the gang intercepted their car and attacked them.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into a roadside pit.
The injured were admitted to the Government Headquarters Hospital here.
