Samsung to set up 10 outlets for IT products

New Delhi, Jul 16 (UNI) Samsung India today said it will set 10 retail outlets for its IT vertical in major cities during the current fiscal.

''We will set up 10 outlets for our IT business in 10 metro cities. This is apart from our existing exclusive shops for consumer durables. We will use funds from our marketing spend, which is 4.5-5 per cent of our turnover,'' Samsung Vice President (IT Business) Y J Lee told reporters here.

The company reported a turnover of 1.3 million dollars during last fiscal.

About 18 per cent of Samsung's business is contributed by the IT vertical and the company expects a 30 per cent growth in the vertical, Mr Lee said.

Samsung is also looking at expanding its consumer durable retail chain by adding another 85 stores to the existing 115 stores.
