The report was submitted before a division bench of Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice Soundur Belodate.
The bench has asked the Advocate General of Maharashtra to remain present on the next date of hearing of the petition. The court wants to know what action the state government has proposed to take against the guilty officers.
The report was submitted in response to a petition filed by Adnan Mulla alleging that he was illegally detained for 35 days before being officially arrested in the Mulund blast case.
