Police officer arrested for accepting bribe
Bangalore, Jul 16 (UNI) Lokayukta police arrested yesterday an Assistant Sub-Inspector of police attached to Kalasipalya police station in the city for accepting a bribe for showing an official favour.
A Lokayukta press release said that ASI G Krishnaiah had demanded Rs 30,000 from V Mohamad Sanaulla of Ulsoor as a bribe to hushup a petty case registered against the latter.
Sanaulla complained to the Lokayukta police since he could not pay the money.
In a well laid trap, Lokayukta sleuths caught him redhanded while accepting the bribe and arrested him.
