Miscreants kill one, severely injure another at Barasat
Barasat, Jul 16 (UNI) A gang of dacoits killed a retired officer and seriously injured his wife at their house at Bamungachhi under Barasat police station in North 24 Parganas.
Police said here today that the dacoits entered the house of Shyamal Biswas (65) after midnight last night, ransacked their bedroom and looted valuables after breaking an almirah.
The miscreants also assaulted and severely injured the couple.
Mr Biswas was killed on the spot and he was declared brought dead by the Barasat Hospital when the couple was rushed to the hospital by the neighbours.
