Mirren is 50+ female celeb Brit lesbians most want to date

London, July 16 : Dame Helen Mirren has topped a list of celebs past the age of 50 that Britain's single lesbians would love to take out on a date.

The 62-year old Oscar winner took top spot with 32 percent of the votes in a poll by gay-PARSHIP.co.uk - Europe's largest serious dating site for gay men and women.

Second place on the list went to 61-year-old Susan Sarandon who took 28 percent of the votes.

'Devil Wears Prada' star Meryl Streep, 59, came in third place with 25 percent of the votes.

Goldie Hawn, 62, showed that she's still a favourite with 8 percent of single Brit lesbians voting they would love to take her out.

Singer Dolly Parton, 62, with 6 percent of the votes and Joan Collins, 75, with 1 percent of the votes, rounded off the top six.

Adrian Gillan, gay-PARSHIP spokesman, commented: "With everyone from Paddington Bear to Sharon Stone clocking up half a century this year, this poll delivers a timely reminder - not least in a gay world oft accused of overly-idolising youth - of senior pulling power; and not just at the box office!"

"Madonna, who turns 50 next month (16 Aug) mayn't be eligible for a bus pass yet, but she'll definitely qualify for our next 'oldie poll'! And what a Birthday treat for Dame Helen - as she turns 63 next week (26 July)!"
