Convene monsoon session immediately: TDP

Hyderabad, Jul 16 (UNI) The main Opposition TDP today demanded that the Andhra Pradesh Government convene the monsoon session of the State Assembly immediately to discuss monsoon failure in the state.

TDP Legislature Party Vice President Kala Venkata Rao told reporters here that convening the monsoon session in August would be too late.

The government should take into confidence the State Assembly and finalise a contingency plan to provide relief to farmers, who were struggling due to a passive Southwest Monsoon.
