Congress' claims of progress in J

Jammu, Jul 16 (UNI) Former Union Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chaman Lal Gupta today said the claims of progress and prosperity achieved by Congress-led Ghulam Nabi Azad coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir are ''doubtful''.

Addressing BJP activists at Basohli and Hiranagar tehsils in Kathua district, Prof Gupta said there was hardly a major promise that has been honoured by the Congress and attempts are now being made to hoodwink the people by making false claims.

''The promise that was included in the Minimum Programme of setting up of Delimitation Commission so as to bring to an end the 60-year-old political fraud, was not yet fulfilled,'' he said, adding, ''Regional Development Boards for fair distribution of funds and equal development of all the three regions was another promise which is still a dream.''
