BSP MLA's representative, driver killed in road accident

Sitapur, Jul 16 : At least three people, including the driver and representative of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Nawab Kazim Ali alias Naveed Mia were killed in a road accident on their way to Lucknow today.

According to police, the vehicle in which the representative of the BSP MLA was coming to Lucknow from Rampur, overturned near Kabranam village near Ataria on the busy Sitapur-Lucknow Highway.

The deceased were identified as Zaki Khan, the MLA's representative, Zahid Khan, driver and one of his supporter Nasir Ali Khan. The MLA's gunner Nazar Khan, was admitted to the hospital with critical injuries.

Police said the accident occurred when the vehicle tried to save a stray dog.

Kazim Ali, BSP MLA from Suar Tanda constituency of Rampur district, was in the front car of the five-vehicle convoy when the accident occurred.
