AISF, SFI activists arrested, calls bandh tomorrow
Hyderabad, Jul 16 (UNI) More than 100 activists of All India Youth Federation (AISF) and Student Federation of India (SFI) were arrested when they were organising dharnas in front of Engineering counselling centres in the State today.
The workers of the AISF and SFI organised the dharnas at the councelling centres in Hyderabad, Tirupati, Guntur, Vijayawada and Kadapa centres, demanding that the state government reduce Engineering tution fees and maintain only 20 per cent management quaota in the private engineering colleges.
Demanding that the government also cancel the permission of the engineering colleges which have failed to maintain educational standards, the AISf and SFI called a state-wide bandh of educational institutions in the state tomorrow.
