1,800 solar lights distributed in North Kashmir
Srinagar, July 16 (UNI) Union Minister for Water Resources Saifu-ud-Din Soz distributed 1,800 solar lights among the people of far flung areas of frontier district of Kupwara in North Kashmir.
Prof Soz also released Rs 10 lakh from his constituency development fund as the cost of these solar lights, which would be provided to people free of cost.
The Union Minister also released Rs five lakh each for the upgradation of schools at Drusso and Adoora (Langate).
He said a borewell has been sanctioned for Shahnagri and adjoining areas to meet the water shortage and soon a team from Water Resources Ministry would be coming to start the work.
