Hyundai to launch Santro, Accent's LPG versions next month
Sriperumbudur, Chennai, Jul 15 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today said it will roll out the LPG versions of Santro and Accent in August.
''We will launch the LPG versions of Santro and Accent by the next month. In few parts of the country, the version is already available,'' company President Ashok Jha told reporters here.
Last year, the company had launched the CNG version for Santro, and recently for Accent. Currently, it is sourcing CNG and LPG kits from two companies in Korea, CEV and Motonic.
''Since they use highly developed technology in LPG and CNG kits, we have invited them to set up plants in India,'' Mr Jha said.
While Motonic is setting up a manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur, near Hyundai's facility, CEV is working on setting up an assembly plant in Delhi, he said, adding that at present, the company has 108 suppliers, including 43 from Korea.
