Hudson to join Kidman in musical 'Nine'

Washington, July 15 : Kate Hudson has signed on to star alongside Nicole Kidman in the musical Nine.

The 29-year-old star will now be playing the part of a fashion magazine reporter on assignment in Italy in the movie adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical.

Directing her and Kidman in the flick will be Rob Marshall, who was all praise for Hudson's skills as a singer and dancer, calling them "revelatory", reports People.

Hudson is set to start shooting for the pic in the UK in October this year.

While she's currently been spending some quality time with new beau Lance Armstrong, co-star Nicole Kidman has been busy with new-born daughter Sunday Rose.

Before starting work again, Kidman and hubby Keith Urban plan to take their new precious bundle home to Australia to meet her father and his parents.
