FB also objects to PM-Ambani meet
New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) Taking exception to the meeting of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with Reliance Industries' chairman Mukesh Ambani yesterday, Forward Bloc today said it has again proved that the Congress is not with the common people but with corporates.
In a statement, the party, a constituent of the Left, said the sudden meeting on the eve of trust vote indicates that the PMO is directly mediating with the corporate houses to satiate their interests at the cost of poor people and the nation.
"The corporate houses were unhappy about the Left-UPA understandings as the Left parties are against globalisation, privatisation and the liberalised economic policies of the Congress.
Therefore they are now coming closer again to the Congress," the statement added.
