CPI(M) concerned over possible imminent attack on Iran by Israel,
New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) today expressed concern over the imminent threat of a military attack on Iran by Israel and the United States.
The party in a statement issued here said while the Ministry of External Affairs has taken note of this situation, it has not taken any step in that direction to avert this possible imminent military action against Iran.
Rather during the UPA regime, the ISRO helped Israel by launching its spy satellite " Tecsar". This advanced satellite produced by Israel and the US jointly is being used to conduct surveillance in Iran. If there is a military attack by Israel on Iran, the Tecsar facilities would prove invaluable, the statement said.
If the Manmohan Singh Government is really concerned about the military attack on Iran, it should cancel forthwith the launch of two more satellites in this series. It should stop all military collaborations with Israel, the CPI(M) statement added.
