CPI denounces PM and PMO's involvement in resolving corporate war
New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) has deplored the involvement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in resolving corporate war.
The party in a press statement issued here today expressed shock that the PM and PMO are being dragged into the corporate war that is raging and demands are being made that Dr Singh should mediate the dispute between the two corporate houses.
This grossly demeans the PM and his office, the statement said.
This is a dangerous trend that has surfaced the political situation emerging after the Left Parties have withdrawn their support from the government and certain other parties have been co-opted by the government to rescue itself.
The CPI is of the view that this is detrimental to our democratic policy, the statement added.
