Bulking up for Jolie film left McAvoy with a farting problem!

London, July 15 : Brit actor James McAvoy literally caused a stink on the set of his new movie 'Wanted' by constantly farting.

McAvoy reveals that the part required him to bulk up, and so movie bosses asked him to drink pint after pint of a muscle-gain supplement.

Though the shakes worked, they left him with a bit of a stinky problem.

"They made me down these shakes which I had to make from these huge tubs of the stuff," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

"To be fair, it really helped but it came with a massive side effect of me violently farting.

"It was so often and so vigorous, I couldn't stop. When I was filming I was by far the biggest farter in Hollywood.

"I had to give up the shakes after a month and start eating chicken and steak instead as it was getting embarrassing."

However, he admits that he has now given up body-building for it meant giving up some of his favourite things.

He said: "I found that caffeine, alcohol and smoking break down muscle - and there was no way I was giving them up."

McAvoy stars in the movie alongside Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie.
