24 killed in separate incidents in UP

Lucknow, Jul 15 (UNI) Altogether 24 people were killed and 66 others injured in separate overnight incidents in Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports from Basti, three workers were electrocuted after coming in contact with a live wire in Captanganj area today.

In Agra, three members of a family were killed and 22 others injured in rain-triggered incidents. Whereas, six persons died in rain-related incidents in Sant Kabirnagar, Kushinagar, Mainpuri and Deoria districts.

Three passengers died and 35 others injured in Chauri Choura area of Gorakhpur after their bus turned turtle, while a man was run over by a train in Chavni area of Kanpur.

In an unrelated incident, four persons, including a woman, were injured in a road accident in Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow.

In Ferozabad, four people died and five others wounded in asynchronous incidents, whereas two motorcyclists and one passenger died in Siddharthnagar and Jaunpur road accidents respectively.

Later, a student drowned in Maharajganj area of Ghazipur, reports said.
