TN Dist to get 1,300 tonne urea: IFFCO

Tiruchirapalli, Jul 14: Tiruchirapalli District will get consignment of 1,300 tonne of urea shortly for which clearance had been obtained, Mr B Krishnan, Chief Area Manager of Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), Tiruchirapalli Region.

Mr Krishnan told newsmen here today, apart from this, IFFCO had also made arrangements for the supply of a total of 2,600 tonne of urea to Thanjavur District.

Of this, 1,300 tonne will go to Kumbakonam.In addition, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam will each get a consignment of 1,300 tonne of DAP to be despatched directly by wagons from the IFFCO fertilizer Factory at Paradeep.

Since April this year, IFFCO had supplied about 39,000 tonne of fertilizer, including 10,110 tonne of DAP, 14,500 tonne of NPK and 14,200 tonne of urea to all the cooperative societies in the central districts.
