Quiz wizard to test Shillongites on music
Shillong, Jul 14 (UNI) Barry O' Brien, the quiz wizard, is all set to test the mettle of Shillongites on their knowledge and love of music in the much-awaited Aircel Brainjam '08 at the Soso Tham auditorium here tomorrow.
Brien, brother of Derek O' Brien and son of Neil O' Brien, was here in this music hub to do what he does best - quiz young people about their quest for knowledge and love of music.
The open quiz show promises to captivate many and further help solidify Shillong's claim as the musical capital of the North-East.
Music touches lives and unites individuals, pulling and tugging at hearts and souls in the Scotland of the East.
Ergo, why not the brain? Come, defend your birthright, your freedom of musical expression! The judge is quiz war-horse Mr Brien, known for his inimitable style of presentation and his repartees.
And the defendants are music lovers of the Pine City, known for taking music to a new high.
Flushed with success in Guwahati, the organisers of Brain Jam in association with Priya Communication will leave no stone unturned to make this event in Shillong a success.
The ace quizmaster today further divulged that he is seriously considering opening up learning centres in Shillong and other parts of the North East, which would help in developing an individual's personality.
The preliminary round of the quiz competition will qualify six teams for the final rounds with two participants in each team. The winning team will win a package trip to Thailand. There will be lots of gifts and goodies for the audience, too.
