QuEST qualified to provide services to EADS
Mumbai, Jul 14 (UNI) Bangalore-based outsourced engineering services and manufacturing provider QuEST has become the first Indian private sector player qualified to offer end-to-end solutions to European Aeronautic Defence and Space (EADS) companies.
The company is now positioned to support projects initiated by EADS, Airbus, Eurocopter and their Tier-I and II suppliers in their globalisation initiatives with its end-to-end engineering services and manufacturing offerings, said a release here today.
The company had earlier received Airbus' approval for engineering services and manufacturing to support the various current and upcoming Airbus programmes, and was recently awarded the EADS E2S preferred supplier status for engineering services.
It also holds the AS 9100 certification received for engineering services and manufacturing practices and is licensed to carry export controlled work in the US.
The compnay is setting up an aerospace supply chain eco-system in its Special Economic Zone (SEZ), spread over 250 acres at Belgaum in North Karnataka, which would enable the company to supply fully finished aerospace components and sub-assemblies from India, added the release.
